Bluetooth Expansion Board Feature:
This Arduino compatible Bluetooth Shield can be directly inserted in the Arduino main board, can extend the function of Arduino Bluetooth communication. Meanwhile, the expansion board is stackable, can be stacked other expansion boards (such as Ethernet expansion board, extended rocker panels, key expansion boards, etc.) on this basis, to achieve more functions.
The Bluetooth module also includes a master-slave function, can freely set according to user needs by AT commands, the default is the Slave mode, 38400 baud rate, matching 1234, the data is transmitted communications through the serial port and the main development board.
You can choose any one of D0 ~ D7 pin connect to the module, with the software libraries provided can use IO serial port to control module, the hardware serial ports can be used communicates with PC, feedback debugging information.

This is the new Tosduino Uno R3. In addition to all the features of the previous board, the Uno R3 now uses an ATmega16U2 instead of the ATmega8U2 chip. This allows for faster transfer rates, no drivers needed for Linux or Mac (inf file for Windows is needed), and the ability to have the Uno show up as a keyboard, mouse, joystick, etc.
The TOSduino Uno R3 requires the Arduino 1.0 drivers folder in order to install properly on some computers. We have tested and confirmed that the R3 can be programmed in older versions of the IDE. However, the first time using the R3 on a new computer, you will need to have Arduino 1.0 installed on that machine.
The small chip is ATmega16U2, the 28 pin DIP socket chip is ATmega328-pu.

Can item SKU066313 be powered directly from using the USB port or do I need to purchase a power supply for it.
This item has not built-in battery, so it can not be charged. With that USB cable connect to computer, you can use it. There is no need of power supply.
